Google Messages may soon get a redesigned voice recorder interface: Report
Google is reportedly developing a redesigned voice recorder user interface (UI) for its instant messaging app Google Messages.
Currently, users record a voice message by holding the microphone icon and can also “Slide to Cancel” at any time, while the duration is marked on the left side of the bar, reports 9To5Google.
When the message is ready, it is placed in a text field that users can listen to and delete.
However, with the redesigned voice recorder, Messages will start recording when users tap the new circular symbol, a clever modification to distinguish it from the nearby Gboard microphone.
When you’re done, users can press the stop button and replay it immediately.
“This new Google Messages voice recorder is quite adorable with some weird details/animations,” the report says.
At the same time, in January of this year, it was reported that the tech giant is bringing a new feature to its instant messaging app that will allow users to create their own user profile.
